APCTP/IEU Field Theory Winter School 2010

APCTP/IEU Field Theory Winter School is an annual program held for more than ten years since APCTP was established. The aim of this school is to provide graduate students and young post-docs with the essential knowledge to understand the current research topics in theoretical high energy physics.

Several theorems on black hole solutions in general relativity will be summarized. It includes constancy of surface gravity, area law, no bifurcation of a black hole and so on. The 3+1 formulation of general relativity and its consequences will also be explained. Finally the current status on the detecton of gravitational waves will be introduced briefly.

Winter school is held at Room 204, Ewha-Shinsegae building which is located at the road from Yonsei University to the back gate of Ewha Womans University. It is just across the street from Severance hospital near Shinchon railroad station. You can also reach the building from the main gate of Ewha. See the map.
